Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes. We fix them where you can see it.

How we correct

A correction goes at the top of the next issue of the same edition, and on the web copy of the issue it fixes, saying what changed. We never edit an issue silently.

Tell us

Email gullak@chillartheory.com with the issue, the line and the source that says otherwise. We check it against the primary source and reply either way.

2026-10-11Corridor #01, The Take (germany-india-remittance-cost)Applied the World Bank's 6.53% average and its 'about 27%' bank-branch cost to a €345 transfer, and stretched the 6.53% to €1,000. Both figures are for the survey's €140 transfer. At €345 the services the World Bank lists cost under 3%. The €345 table was wrong; the €1,000 line overstated what a larger transfer usually costs.
